Span Forging Pvt Ltd is a forging job work factory at Tatarpur, near Prithla, Palwal district, Haryana. It has run drop hammers for the automotive supply chain since 1996.

Span is the software that keeps its order book straight. It reads the orders and purchase orders customers email to the factory, works out what is open and what is overdue, and puts one short list in front of the people who run the shop each morning. It is a private tool for the two people who run the company. There is no public sign-up, nothing is sold through it, and it holds no data belonging to anyone outside the business.

It reads one mailbox, spanforge@gmail.com, which is the factory's own, and it sends replies from that address only after a person has read and approved them.
